The Allamakee County Courthouse will reopen to the public beginning on Wednesday, June 3rd with all COUNTY OFFICE business hours of 9:00am to 3:30pm daily. The shortened business hours will allow for courthouse staff to do necessary cleaning and disinfecting of the offices to protect the public and staff from the Covid19 Coronavirus.
For accessibility reasons, the SOUTH DOOR of the courthouse will remain the only door unlocked for public use until further notice.
Signs with public health guidelines will be expected to be followed when in the common areas of the courthouse for social distancing requirements. While masks are not required in the hallways, their use is recommended. Courthouse staff wish to THANK EVERYONE for their patience and your willingness to follow healthy practices while we get through this experience together!!

Allamakee County Relief Services provides assistance to needy and poor people in need of immediate assistance or people who cannot obtain assistance from any other source. Assistance is provided to an individual that has income or benefits delayed from a state program or not actually received because not attributable to the person, and who does not have liquid assets of the family unit to pay for the items of assistance that can be provided.

Allamakee Relief Office provides assistance to people who need help with rent, food, medical, utilities, fuel, and medication. The assistance program is designed to provide short-term emergency type assistance to persons lacking the resources to meet their basic needs.
How to Apply
Call the office at (563)568-3591 to schedule an appointment. When you come for your appointment you will need to bring the following information: documentation of income, Social Security card, bills that you pay monthly, and any other information regarding your monthly situation.
